About Me
I would like to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Kristan Newman Garrett, I have lived in the panhandle of Florida for thirty-six years. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in practice for twenty-one years, a Yoga Instructor for six years, a Plant-Based Chef for five years and a Nutrition Coach since 2022. Off the record, I have been guiding people to eat healthy for over forty years.
The concept for Hale was developed five years ago, following extensive experience providing nutrition guidance to massage clients, acquaintances, and family members. With over 40 years of study in plant-based nutrition and its physiological effects, substantial expertise has been acquired regarding the relationship between dietary choices and health outcomes.
A distinctive methodology is employed to guide clients toward improved dietary choices. Rather than recommending the elimination of specific foods, clients are encouraged to incorporate additional nutritious options into their daily meals. Sustainable success is achieved most effectively through gradual, incremental changes.
I have been living a plant based lifestyle for forty two years. I walk the walk, so to speak. I enjoy cooking in the kitchen immensely, baking Sourdough bread, delving into whole foods and creating fun, delicious food, growing herbs and veggies on my property and spending time with my two rescue pups, Koa and Stella and my sweet kitty, Martini. I practice Yoga religiously, take my pups for walks on the Florida trails, I love being on the water on my paddle board.
We are kinesthetic beings, meaning we are meant to be active and ambulatory. Healthy eating coupled with movement is synergistic, eating what your body needs for fuel and then moving your body manifests a healthy overall well being.
